Quite simply, I was helping a registered charity with some bookkeeping work and had an epiphany: I am not the kind of person who will embrace retirement, my love for working with smaller businesses means I don't have a huge pension pot, and Supply Chain Management is probably not what I want to do for another 20 years - I'll be really old then and probably won't cope with the nasty surprises that tend to be a feature of international supply chain work!
So I started studying Accounting, Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and I loved it.
Rather than this being a thing in my future, I decided to move forward as soon as I could, and here I am, a qualified, licenced bookkeeper with AAT.
I am currently studying Level 4 AAT which will allow me to offer more accounting service.
